| Advocacy is loosely defined as: The act of pleading or arguing in
favor of something, such as a cause, idea, or policy; active support.
The GWPC advocates for the protection of ground water by using several
proactive processes such as providing written and verbal support for ground
water protection policies and programs, giving testimony related to ground water
before state and federal legislative bodies, drafting resolutions that support
ground water protection, assisting states and the federal government with the
coordination of ground water protection programs, supporting technical and legal
research relative to ground water protection, and by providing forums for the
discussion and dissemination of information about ground water and its
protection.
We consider the role we play as crucial to the goal of protecting ground
water throughout the United States.
In this section of our website, you will find GWPC
Resolutions and information about some of the others methods we use to
advocate for ground water protection.
