This week is Septic Smart Week!
The Ground Water Protection Council (GWPC), a member of the EPA Decentralized Wastewater MOU, adopted a resolution at its Annual Forum conference that recognizes the value of Septic Smart Week, which is September 16-20.
Septic Smart Week is an annual EPA program with outreach activities to encourage homeowners and communities to care for and maintain their septic systems. The agency provides tools to community leaders and agencies aimed at helping them inform homeowners on proper septic system care and maintenance and educating decision makers about infrastructure to improve and sustain their communities.
