GWPC Names Dan Yates Executive Director

The Ground Water Protection Council announced it has selected Dan Yates as Executive Director, effective today, March 1.

Yates had previously served as the organization’s Associate Executive Director and has been employed by the organization in various roles for more than 20 years.

Upon the announcement of retirement by previous Executive Director, Mike Paque, the Board of Directors formed a search committee at the end of 2021.

The Committee interviewed several candidates and the Board of Directors confirmed the decision to select Yates in a virtual meeting last week.

“I am very excited to have been selected by the GWPC Board to serve as the organization’s next Executive Director,” said Yates. “GWPC is set up for many continued successes through our members, workgroups, and staff. I look forward to interfacing with as many of you as possible over the coming months as I work with the GWPC Board to implement our strategic plan, continue to host valuable educational and networking opportunities, and guide the organization to maintain our status as a leading organization in both the water and energy spaces.”

“It’s been my privilege to serve GWPC for over 20 years, and it will be an even greater privilege to serve the organization in this new capacity.”
