GWPC submitted comments June 30 to US EPA providing input on the State of Louisiana’s primacy revision application for jurisdiction of the Underground Injection Control Class VI injection well program.
GWPC has worked closely with the state on programmatic topics over many years as it implemented its current UIC program, and according to the comment letter, Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR) has effectively administered the state’s program for UIC well classes I – V since EPA granted state primacy in March 1982.
The letter states GWPC’s support of the State of Louisiana application with several observations.
