TCEQ Seeks Two Geoscientist V Senior Staff for Underground Injection Control (UIC) Permits Section
General Description
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the state’s environmental and water quality regulatory agency, seeks two Geoscientist V staff to join its UIC Permits Section. Duties for these senior-level geoscientist positions include reviewing and evaluating permit applications for UIC Class I (deep well disposal), Class III (in-situ uranium mining), and Class V injection wells (including ASR) and related reports, certifications and other submittals for waste management and fluid injection. Work involves processing complex permit applications, writing associated permits, evaluating other technical information, and assisting agency clients. Successful applicants will have experience with hydrogeology, petroleum or structural geology, groundwater remediation, or groundwater management. These positions are based at the TCEQ Headquarters office in Austin, Texas, and offer an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.
